Sagittarius

Sagittarius is the sign of expansion, with emphasis on expanding our mental, spiritual, and/or physical horizons. Even as a traveling sign, it is often a teaching sign for travels expand more than just our physical world.
The expansion of Sagittarius is from the center outward, the kind of concentric expansion that we call growth. Whatever planets or points reside in Sagittarius must and will grow–more often growth of awareness than physical growth.
In general, Sagittarian points, planets or houses expand quite naturally. They are naturally generous and joyful, intended to bless your life. Negative aspects may slow, delay, or decrease the size of their gifts, but cannot deny them. Occasionally, Sagittarian chart elements may seem too big–particularly as applied to parental figures which sometimes take up too much space in our psyche. Still even this often produces positive results when we are driven to greater awareness in our search for understanding of difficult aspects in our childhood. Sagittarius rising can produce abandonment or alienation, but it also grants the wisdom and understanding which allow natives to overcome them. Alternatively, it will name you a believer, which usually refers to a relatively rigid religious education.

Most Sagittarian planets are understood from birth, so they are free to continue the process of expanding your personal horizons. Many Sagittarians teach because the more they teach, the more learn. In Sagittarius, the outflow and inflow will always be interactive. The point of view is outflow, as teaching, but it runs on alternating current.
To expand our meaning: These placements have not only acquired their full size, they have also developed relationships and been integrated into society during prior incarnations. Further expansion, growth, and extension, will take them into the spiritual realm. They are reaching for enlightenment.

Sagittarian areas can only be limited by our beliefs about them. Jupiter and Sagittarius represent spiritual consciousness. Remember, spirit is energy and undefined. It will take the form of whatever beliefs you pour it into. Jupiter or Sagittarius emphasis will make you a teacher but the teaching will be at the level of your actual belief. If you attempt to teach something that you do not really believe in, your life will tell on you.
When your conscious beliefs are aligned with your unconscious ones, the teaching will expand and bless every area of your life. Consequently, modern metaphysicians say that if we wish to be financially prosperous, we must do the things we love most. In so doing, we increase the available energy and become increasingly radiant with creativity as a side effect. Becoming more aware of these processes, using them more consciously, we discover that our Sagittarian functions are full of wisdom, bringing great blessings to our lives.

Ultimately, Sagittarius refers to the process of becoming. To get what we want, to create it, to teach it, to prove it, we have to become it. We have to become the kind of person who will naturally manifest whatever it is that we seek. Sagittarius is about reaching for the stars, for a higher power, for something more, something greater. It is not about any particular goal. It is about the joy of seeking to reach beyond our present grasp.

The most important thing to realize about Sagittarius placements is that they represent an ability to receive as much as you can believe in. Here your luck depends on you. You can have as much as you think that you are worth, as much as you think that you can use or handle or manage, as much as you think that you can find a place for. Sometimes an angel, sometimes a messenger, Sagittarius stands ready to bless your life.
