Scorpio

Scorpio is the sign of personal power. The power inherent in us all is the ability to focus tightly on that which we want or need. Sufficient focus will create the reality of what has been affirmed or envisioned. Thus, Scorpio is the sign of the true magician–not the illusionist, but–one who seems to create something from nothing, by the power of mind, words, thought, concentrated into form.

Historically, power has had a bad name, but power is neither good nor evil, except in how it is used. Those who use power consciously do well to remember that what comes around, goes around. What you put out will return to you. Wicca reminds us, “An ye harm none, do as you will.” Christianity says, “Do unto others as ye would that men do unto you.” Both are admonitions referring to the use of personal power.

All too often, the Plutonian power of Scorpio is expressed as control, especially attempts to control others. The only safe control for use is self-control, and that should only be applied to negative temptations . . . we all face those at times!

Any chart placements in Scorpio are powerful and capable of magic. Passion is a primary source of power. Passion equals intensity. Far too often, passion is limited to the sexual arena, but it was never meant to be so confined. People who make a great success in life are passionate about their goals. From this comes the spiritual injunction to follow your passion or bliss. That which we are most passionate about is usually our spiritual calling and the source of our greatest joy.

Sun in Scorpio is powerful because it runs on passion. Moon in Scorpio approaches life passionately and produces magic as a result. Scorpio Rising simply looks like a magician and/or their passion is visible.

Each of us has Scorpio (and Pluto) in our charts. Examine your chart to see in what area of life (house) your passion most powerfully expresses.
