The Mutual Reception of Transiting Jupiter and Pluto

Mutual reception is a condition of two planets, where each planet falls in the sign ruled by the other. Pluto has been in Jupiter’s sign, Sagittarius, for about ten years now. For about the next twelve months, Jupiter will be crossing Pluto’s sign, Scorpio. The effect of this is similar to a planetary conjunction and generally intensifies the effects of both transits.

Pluto’s transit of Sagittarius has been confronting us with the creative power of beliefs–sometimes almost rubbing our noses in our negative thinking. Where once we could safely say, “I will believe it when I see it,” we must now face the facts. Our beliefs are being made manifest so that the statement has been transformed to, “When I believe it, I will see it.” For the enlightened this is a tool which can be used to improve our lives, as we learn to believe in our right to this improvement.

However, on the national (and international) scene this is being expressed in a less pleasant way. Plutonian power is being applied as mind-control and Sagittarius’ search for truth has been taken over by a politically and economically controlled media. On one front, the marketing of drugs has promoted disease by the simple expedient of generating sufficient fear to make people sick. The resulting economic drain has weakened the economy and distracted the population.
Meanwhile, other economic interests have used power words like religion and human rights to promote a war. When that proved a less powerful motivator than it had historically been, a massive campaign of terror was launched–external enemies may have provided events, but, a politically dominated media magnified and intensified human emotions on a grand scale. Fear has been sold wholesale to justify several wars in various places around the world.

Still, even that has begun to lose its power to distract the masses, so a new campaign has been launched, called the Bird/Avian Flu. Guess what people, it is about 98% scam and intended to distract our attention and drain our finances!

Using the symbolism of astrology, we can say that the entry of Jupiter in Scorpio is intensifying the effect of Pluto in Sagittarius. The drive to control us through the use of the media-generated fear is being redoubled.
The good news is that this only happens when those who are behind it see their control slipping away. With the advent of Jupiter in Scorpio, we foresee this intensification as having the opposite effect of what was intended. Finally, we will rise up and say a resounding “No.”

Jupiter is ever the enlightener. The truth will out! Over the coming year increasing numbers of us will see through the massive brain-washing campaigns which have been used to control our attention and bleed our economy.

Pluto intensifies, by nature. How often do we ignore our pain until it becomes so intense that we must do something about it? With Jupiter in the mix, expanding what it touches, that intensity is going to get our attention sufficiently that we will break out of our hypnotic state and set ourselves free–freedom being another good Jupiter/Sagittarius word.

Where intelligence is involved, these two symbols are amazingly potent because Jupiter-Sagittarius always broadens our view, while Pluto-Scorpio deepens it. With the two working together, the power of our innate wisdom shall prevail!
